Thursday, September 30th, 2010 ~ Tracy Tried To Vomit This Morning ~ Thank goodness Mom was able to talk Tracy out of throwing up again this morning at 6:30! Mom Goes To Hot Yoga With Kate This Morning At Awaken Hot Yoga In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Hot Yoga practice with Kate this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga. She is such a good instructor! Mom loves her classes. The room has been so hot and humid lately! It is unbelievable how much hotter it is with the increase in humidity. Tracy Has Been Complaining A Lot This Afternoon & Evening ~ Tracy appeared uncomfortable and was crying this evening while in bed. She was up late, and had a restless evening. Mom and Dad turned her on her side where she could hug a pillow and she seemed a lot more comfortable in this position. Everyone needs to hug a pillow sometimes! Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. She has been a lot more alert, and is sticking out her tongue on command as well. Tracy has also been laughing appropriately, especially at Mom's corny jokes. Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning ~ Mom enjoyed her Hot Yoga practice with Keri this morning. She is an awesome instructor! Mom Decides To Eliminate All Fruit Juices Except Papaya From Tracy's Supplements ~ Mom spoke to Bruce, the pharmacist from Braden's Pharmacy today about Tracy's reflux. He recommended that Mom eliminate all of Tracy's fruit juices except her Papaya. We will continue this regimen for a week and see if there is any decrease in her reflux. Marcus Comes To Do Physical Therapy With Tracy This Evening ~ Marcus came to do Physical Therapy with Tracy this evening. He and Tania transferred Tracy to the therapy bench in front of the mirror, to work on head and trunk control. She did a great job picking up her head in front of the mirror. She is working so hard. Everyone Survives The Tropical Depression That Dumped A Lot Of Rain Today ~ Everyone stayed inside and survived the tropical depression that dumped a ton of rain on Lighthouse Point. There was a lot of flooding all over Lighthouse Point. Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. She has been a lot more alert, and is sticking out her tongue on command as well. Tracy has also been laughing appropriately, especially at Mom's corny jokes. Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning With Kelly At Awaken Hot Yoga In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Hot Yoga class with Kelly this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. She is such a great instructor. It was a great class. She was feeling a little sore. Tania Feeds Tracy 2 Ounces Of Activia Yogurt This Afternoon ~ Tania fed Tracy about two ounces of Activia yogurt this afternoon. She is doing a good job swallowing and moving her tongue. Way to go Tracy! Tania Puts Tracy's Yogi Toes On This Afternoon ~ Tania puts Tracy's Yogi Toes on her feet for 20 minutes this afternoon. Mom Goes To Chip's Campaign Office To Work The Phone Bank ~ Mom went to Chip's office to work on the phone bank this afternoon. It is a lot of fun and she enjoys volunteering. Tania & Tracy Watch Jennifer Anniston In Love Happens This Afternoon ~ Tania and Tracy watched Love Happens with Jennifer Anniston this afternoon. It is such a cute flick! Mom, Dad, & Tracy Watch Dancing With The Stars: The Results This Evening ~ Mom, Dad, & Tracy enjoyed watching Dancing With The Stars: The Results this evening. Mom knew Michael Bolton would be eliminated. Oh well! Mom, Dad, & Tracy Watch Parenthood This Evening ~ Everyone enjoyed watching Mom's favorite show: Parenthood this evening. It is such a great show! Monday, September 27th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga Fusion With Veronica This Morning ~ Mom had a really good Hot Yoga session with Veronica this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. Diane is still away and will be back in full force next week. Mom Has A Dentist Appointment This Afternoon With Dr. Camuccio In Pompano ~ Mom had her six month check up with Dr. Camuccio in Pompano. She got a good report. Tania Is Out With A Sore Back & Shoulder Today ~ Tania was out with a strained back and sore shoulder today. We sure do miss her and hope she feels better soon. Wilmene & Mom Put Tracy In Her Bed This Afternoon So She Can Rest ~ Tracy was pretty sleepy, so Mom and Wilmene put Tracy in her bed for a rest. She sure does love her bed! Mom & Tracy Watch Serena On Oprah This Afternoon ~ Mom and Tracy watched Serena on Oprah this afternoon. She gave Oprah a pedicure, which is her dream job! What fun! Mom, Dad, & Tracy Watch Dancing With The Stars this evening. They are pulling for Jennifer and Derek and Bristol and Mark! Sunday, September 26th, 2010 ~ Dad & Mom Change Tracy's G-Tube This Morning ~ Mom and Dad changed Tracy's G-tube this morning. It is so nice to have a doctor for a Dad and a nurse for a Mom! Tracy Goes To Hippotherapy This Afternoon With Breezy At Bit-By-Bit In Parkland ~ Tracy had another good session with Breezy and Susan at Hippotherapy this morning at Bit-By-Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Parkland. She was pulling her trunk forward more today, and struggled to pick her head up. She is working so hard, even with the extreme heat. Great job Tracy. Mom, Dad, & Tracy Go To 6 PM Mass This Evening ~ It had been a while since Mom, Dad, and Tracy made it to Mass at St. Paul's in Lighthouse Point. Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. Saturday, September 25th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning At 8 AM ~ Mom went to 8 AM Hot Yoga with Susanna at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. She taught a great class! She has such a soothing voice and a beautiful practice. Wilmene Gives Tracy A Facial This Morning ~ Wilmene gave Tracy her Saturday morning Spa Day facial this morning. She loves to be pampered. Jodi Comes To Do Speech Therapy With Tracy This Morning ~ It was so great to have Jodi working with Tracy again this morning. She brought the Dynavox and we hooked up Tracy's switch and speaker to it. It was great to see Tracy hitting the switch after such a long time. She did a great job! Mom and Jodi discussed Tracy's Speech Therapy goals, and the plan is for Jodi to work with Tracy on Saturdays. Mom, Dad & Tracy Watch College Football This Evening: Geaux Tigers ~ Everyone enjoyed watching College Football this evening. Thank goodness the LSU Tigers beat West Virginia! Too bad Boston College lost to Virginia Tech. Friday, September 24th, 2010 ~ Tracy Tries To Vomit Bright & Early This Morning ~ Tracy tried to vomit this morning, bright and early, but Mom was able to talk her out of it! Thank goodness. Mom Goes To Pilates: Circuit Class With Christine At Wellness & Motion In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Pilates Circuit class with Christine bright and early this morning. She really works you to the core! Amazing! Mom Goes To Lake Worth With Nana & Nadesha For Hair Appointments This Afternoon ~ Mom picked up Nana and Nadesha for their monthly hair appointments in Lake Worth. It is always so much fun to go to Lake Worth, especially with Kerri! She makes it a lot of fun! Marcus Comes To Do Physical Therapy With Tracy This Afternoon ~ Marcus came to work with Tracy on Physical Therapy this afternoon. He stretched and ranged Tracy's major muscle groups and then he and Tania transferred Tracy to the peanut ball for head and trunk control exercises in front of the mirror. She did a great job working her head control. After therapy, it was time to put an ice pack on Tracy's left shoulder. It seems to feel a lot better after the ice pack. Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. Thursday, September 23rd, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga With Kate At Awaken Hot Yoga Studio In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom went to her morning Hot Yoga practice with Kate at Awaken Hot Yoga Studio in Lighthouse Point. It was a great class. Kate is so awesome! Mom loves her class! Wilmene Gives Tracy A Manicure This Afternoon ~ Wilmene gave Tracy an awesome manicure this afternoon! She has the coolest shade of platinum on! Sweet! Tania Massages & Ranges Tracy's Shoulders, Wrists & Hands This Afternoon ~ Tania stretched and ranged Tracy's shoulders, wrists, and hands while she was in her chair this afternoon. The Hoyer Lift Is Working Out Well Since We Started Using It A Week Ago ~ The Hoyer lift is going well, since we implemented it for all of Tracy's transfers last week. She has an old rowing injury that is chronically aggrivated with manual transfers, so we have decided to start implementing the Hoyer Lift. This will allow one person to transfer Tracy safely, without torquing Tracy's shoulder and also saving all of our backs. Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning With Keri At Awaken Hot Yoga In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Hot Yoga class with Keri this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. Keri takes her yoga seriously, and is one of the best instructors at Awaken! Her classes are so challenging and the temperature was really hot and humid today. Tania Shapes Tracy's Eyebrows This Afternoon ~ Tania shaped Tracy's eyebrows this afternoon. Even though Tracy dislikes when Tania tweezes her eyebrows, she is very happy when they look so beautiful! Tania does a great job with making Tracy even more beautiful than she already is! Marcus Comes To Do Physical Therapy This Evening ~ Marcus & Tania transferred Tracy to the therapy bench in front of the mirror to practice trunk and head control. He placed ankle weights on Tracy's feet to stabilize them. Tracy let Marcus know that she was not very happy with this, so he removed them from her feet. Marcus coached Tracy to lift her head up, and she did such a good job, that she did not need any ice for stimulation. Dad Returns Home Late This Afternoon From Denver ~ Dad was happy to be home this evening from his conference in Denver. He was so happy to be home, and his girls were happy to see him. Tracy Wears Her Splints & Her Boots To Bed This Evening ~ Dad put Tracy's resting hand splints and Multipodus boots on Tracy's wrists and feet this evening while she was relaxed and asleep. She is such a great instructor, and it was a great class with lots of heat. Tracy Eats Almost 2 Ounces Of Activia Yogurt This Afternoon ~ Tania fed Tracy almost 2 ounces of Activia yogurt this afternoon. She is doing such a good job swallowing. Dee Cancels Tracy's Physical Therapy This Evening Due To Work Constraints ~ Dee had to cancel Physical Therapy this evening with Tracy, due to work constraints. Tania Puts Ice On Tracy's Left Shoulder For Twenty Minutes This Evening ~ Tania put an ice pack on Tracy's left shoulder for twenty minutes this evening.. She seems to get some relief from the ice therapy. Tania Ranges & Stretches Tracy's Wrists & Hands This Evening ~ Tania stretched and ranged Tracy's wrists and hands this evening. She is working so hard with Tracy to keep her wrists and hands in alignment. Kim Stays With Mom & Tracy This Evening While Dad Is Out Of Town ~ Kim stayed with Mom and Tracy this evening while Dad was out of town. He returns tomorrow evening. Monday, September 20th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga With Keri This Morning ~ Diane is out of town and Keri taught this morning's Hot Yoga practice. It was a great class with lots of heat and humidity. Mom was still sore from Friday's Pilates class! Tania Massages & Ranges Tracy's Wrists, Hands, & Arms This Evening ~ Tania worked with Tracy's wrists and hands this afternoon, ranging and massaging them. Then she applied an ice pack to Tracy's left shoulder, where she seems to have an impingement issue. The ice really seems to relieve her discomfort. Aunt Diane Stays With Mom & Tracy This Evening ~ Aunt Diane came over to stay with Tracy and Mom this evening. Dad returns home Wednesday evening. We sure do miss him! Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. Sunday, September 19th, 2010 ~ Tracy Vomits About Four Ounces This Morning At Nine ~ Tracy vomited about four ounces this morning at about 9 AM. Thank goodness she recovered in time for her Hippotherapy session at noon. ~ Mom, Dad, & LuLu Take Tracy To Hippotherapy At Bit-By-Bit In Parkland This Morning ~ Tracy had the best Hippotherapy session with Susan this morning at Bit-By-Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Parkland. Tracy looked so strong, sitting up tall on Breezy, while Dad and Susan supported her. Dad asked Tracy to turn her head and look at Susan and Tracy did turn her head to look at Susan, who was on her right side. Her listening skills have improved so much! She worked on holding her head up while on Breezy, and then was wiped out after twenty minutes. Must have been the heat and humidity, it was pretty intense! Dad Leaves For A Business Trip In Denver This Afternoon ~ Aunt Diane came over to spend the night with Mom and Tracy this evening. Dad was presenting at the HIMS Conference in Denver, Colorado this week, returning Wednesday evening. We already miss him! Tracy Rests In Her Bed Since 5 PM This Afternoon ~ Tracy was pretty sleepy and rested in her comfy bed from 5 PM. She sure caught up on her beauty sleep! Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. Saturday, September 18th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning ~ Mom had a great Hot Yoga this morning with Jessica at Awaken in Lighthouse Point. Jessica is definitely one of the most challenging yoga instructors she has ever practiced with. It was a very tough class, very hot and humid. Wilmene Gives Tracy A Facial This Morning ~ Wilmene gave Tracy her Saturday morning Spa Day facial this morning. She loves to be pampered. Mom, Dad & Tracy Watch College Football This Evening: Geaux Tigers ~ Everyone enjoyed watching College Football this evening. Thank goodness the LSU Tigers beat Mississippi State! Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. Friday, September 17th, 2010 ~ Tracy Wakes Up At 7:30 AM Nauseous & Almost Throws Up ~ Tracy woke up at 7:30 AM coughing, gagging, and nearly vomiting. Thank goodness that Mom was able to talk Tracy out of it. Mom Goes To Pilates This Morning With Christine At Wellness & Motion In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Pilates Circuit class on both the Tower and the Reformer with Christine at Wellness & Motion in Lighthouse Point. Christine worked Lori and Mom out pretty hard on the Tower, with jumping on the Reformer. It was a great workout! It really strengthens the core! Marcus Comes To Do Physical Therapy This Evening ~ Marcus came to do Physical Therapy with Tracy this evening. He stretched and ranged Tracy's major muscle groups on the mat, and then transferred Tracy to the therapy bench with her Hoyer Lift. He worked with Tracy on her trunk and head control on the bench, using an ice pack to stimulate head control. Then he and Tania transferred Tracy to the peanut ball for more trunk control. Marcus and Tania transferred Tracy back to her wheel chair again using the Hoyer Lift. Tracy seems to like using the Hoyer Lift. Tracy did a good job working on her head and trunk control. Tania Stays With Tracy This Evening While Mom & Dad Go To Chili's For A Quick Dinner ~ Mom & Dad went to Chili's this evening for a quick dinner date, while Tania stayed with Tracy and the dogs. She was able to transfer Tracy to her bed by herself, using her Hoyer Lift! This is huge, since we have always needed to people to transfer Tracy! What a sense of independence for Tracy and the family! Tracy Has Been Eating Yogurt & Moving Her Tongue Alot Lately ~ Tracy has been moving her tongue, and Wilmene and Tania have been feeding her 2 to 4 ounces of Activia yogurt about 3 to 4 times a week. Thursday, September 16th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga With Kate This Morning At Awaken Hot Yoga In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Hot Yoga practice with Kate this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga. Wilmene Gives Tracy A Pedicure This Morning ~ Wilmene gave Tracy a pedicure this morning. She does such a good job with Tracy's beauty days! Marcus Comes To Train Wilmene, Marie, & Tania On Passive Stretching & Range Of Motion ~ Marcus came this morning to do an inservice on some passive range of motion techniques and to demonstrate proper use of the Hoyer Lift. He does such a good job! Dad Gets Back From Dallas This Evening ~ We are so glad to have Dad back home from Dallas this evening. We sure do miss him when he's gone! Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 ~ Dad Goes To Dallas For A Business Meeting This Morning ~ Dad left for Dallas this morning for a business meeting. He'll be back by Thursday evening. Aunt Diane comes to stay with Mom this evening. Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning ~ Mom enjoyed her Hot Yoga practice with Keri this morning. She is an awesome instructor! Mom & Wilmene Bring Tracy To Her Dermatology Appointment This Afternoon ~ Mom and Wilmene brought Tracy to Dr. Hecker's office for her three month check-up. She removed two small moles from her thighs which looked a little suspicious. We should have the pathology report by Friday. Tania Shapes Tracy's Eyebrows This Afternoon ~ Tania did a good job shaping Tracy's eyebrows this afternoon. They are so beautiful! Marcus Comes Tod Do Physical Therapy With Tracy This Evening ~ Marcus came to do Physical Therapy with Tracy. He stretched and ranged her in the bed, since she just had those two moles removed. He did a lot of massage and stretching which seemed to feel very relaxing for Tracy. Tuesday, September 14th, 2010 ~ Happy Birthday Nana Lilly ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning With Kelly At Awaken Hot Yoga In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Hot Yoga class with Kelly this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. She is such a great instructor. It was a great class. She was feeling a little sore. Mom, Tracy, Wilmene, & Tania Meet Nana, Aunt Diane, & Nadesha At Cafe Sequella This Afternoon For Nana's Birthday Lunch ~ Everyone had a nice luncheon at Cafe Sequella in Boca Raton to celebrate Nana's birthday! The cafe has the best food and we were able to sit outside. Tracy and Tania shared a cappuchino! Tania fed Tracy some of the foam from the top! She seemed to like it! Mom Meets Dad At Dr. Hecker's Office This Afternoon ~ Mom met Dad at Dr. Hecker's office this afternoon. Dr. Hecker excised Dad's scar on his back where he has had two recurring dysplastic nevi. Mom held Dad's hand while she performed the minor surgery. Monday, September 13th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga Fusion With Diane This Morning ~ Mom had a really good Hot Yoga session with Diane this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. It was so hot and humid; with lots of yogis in the class. She is definitely one of the most challenging instructors.Tania Stretches & Ranges Tracy's Wrists, Hands, & Fingers This Afternoon ~ Tania stretched and ranged Tracy's wrists, hands, and fingers this afternoon. Tracy's left thumb seems a little tighter today. Tracy Eats About Three Ounces Of Activia Yogurt Today ~ Tania fed Tracy about three ounces of Activia Yogurt today. She did a good job moving her tongue and swallowing today. Mom, Tracy, & Tania Watch Oprah's First Show Of Her Final Season This Afternoon ~ Mom, Tracy and Tania wathced Oprah's first show of her final season this afternoon. Sunday, September 12th, 2010 ~ Tracy Goes To Hippotherapy This Morning With Breezy At Bit-By-Bit In Parkland ~ Tracy had the best session yet with Breezy and Susan at Hippotherapy this morning at Bit-By-Bit Therapeutic Riding Center in Parkland. She sat up so tall and did a great job holding up her head for about 20 minutes. She is working so hard, even with the extreme heat. Great job Tracy. Mom, Dad, & LuLu Use The Hoyer Lift This Afternoon ~ Mom, Dad, and LuLu used the Hoyer Lift today to help relieve some of Tracy's left shoulder pain. She has an old evulsion fracture from a previous rowing injury, that continues to be aggrivated with manual transfers. Mom Goes To Chip's Campaign Office To Work The Phone Bank This Afternoon ~ Mom spent the afternoon at Chip's Campaign Headquarters making phone calls with the phone bank. It was a lot of fun and she learned a lot. She can't wait for the debate Monday evening, September 20th. Thursday, September 9th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga With Kate At Awaken Hot Yoga Studio In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom went to her morning Hot Yoga practice with Kate at Awaken Hot Yoga Studio in Lighthouse Point. It was a great class. Kate is so awesome! Mom loves her class! Tania Put The Heating Pad On Tracy's Left Shoulder This Afternoon For Fifty Minutes ~ Tania put the heating pad on Tracy's left shoulder for fifty minutes this afternoon. It really feels better with the heat. She has an old rowing injury that is chronically aggrivated with manual transfers, so we have decided to start implementing the Hoyer Lift. This will allow one person to transfer Tracy safely, without torquing Tracy's shoulder and also saving all of our backs. Tania Puts Tracy's Yogi Toes On For Twenty Minutes This Afternoon ~ Tania put Tracy's Yogi Toes on her feet today for twenty minutes. They help to stretch Tracy's toes. Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 ~ Mom Goes To Hot Yoga This Morning With Keri At Awaken Hot Yoga In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Hot Yoga class with Keri this morning at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. Keri takes her yoga seriously, and is one of the best instructors at Awaken! Her classes are so challenging and the temperature was really hot and humid today. Dad Leaves At The Crack Of Dawn For His Meeting In New York At Laguardia ~ Dad left bright and early this morning for Laguardia where he attends his monthly meeting. He returned about 6:15 this evening. Tracy Goes To The Cleaveland Clinic Foundation For Her Baclofen Pump Refill This Afternoon ~ Tracy had an appointment with Dr. Galvez this afternoon to get her Baclofen pump refill. Dr. Galvez maintained Tracy's current dose at 226.4 mcg/day. Her pump alarm date is not until February 13th! Looks like she will get her pump refilled about every 5 months. Marcus Comes To Do Physical Therapy This Evening ~ Marcus spent some time ranging and massaging Tracy's left shoulder this evening. After a thorough stretching session, he and Tania got Tracy seated and worked on trunk and neck strengthening exercises in front of the mirror. Tracy is really working hard and getting stronger each session. Tania Put The Heating Pad On Tracy's Left Shoulder This Evening ~ Tania put Tracy's heating pad on the lowest setting on her left shoulder for about forty minutes this evening. She seems to really relax and enjoy the heat. Tracy Wears Her Splints & Her Boots To Bed This Evening ~ Dad put Tracy's resting hand splints and Multipodus boots on Tracy's wrists and feet this evening while she was relaxed and asleep. Dee Cancels Tracy's Physical Therapy This Evening Due To Work Constraints ~ Dee had to cancel Physical Therapy this evening with Tracy, due to work constraints. Mom contacted Dr. Debra Stern at Nova Southeastern University Physical Therapy Program to ask for help from their PT students. Keep your fingers crossed that she gets some students soon. Mom Goes To The Bit-By-Bit Halloween Horse Show Planning Meeting This Evening In Pompano ~ Mom went to the Halloween Horse Show planning meeting this evening. The show is scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd, from 9 AM to 3 PM, at Sand & Spurs Equestrian Park. It should be tons of fun! Tania Puts On Tracy's Resting Hand Splints This Evening ~ Tania put Tracy's resting hand splints on her hands for almost two hours this evening.. Monday, September 6th, 2010 ~ Happy Labor Day ~ Tracy Wakes Up This Morning Gagging & Nearly Vomited ~ Tracy woke up this morning at 7:30 am, coughing, gagging, and nearly vomited. Thank goodness Mom and Dad were able to coach her out of it. Mom Goes To Hot Yoga With Diane This Morning ~ Diane is back at Awaken Hot Yoga after about eight months reprive. She really kicked it up several notches! It was so hard and so hot in the room, and it was pretty packed too. She did some brutal moves: boxer shuffles with hand weights, and these difficult curtzies. Our calves hurt for days, and it was difficult to walk up and down stairs. Dad Goes To Bikram Yoga This Morning In Boca Raton ~ Dad had a great Bikram Yoga practice this morning at Bikram College of India in Boca Raton. He sure does love his Bikram. Tania Shapes Tracy's Eyebrows This Afternoon ~ Tania did a good job shaping Tracy's eyebrows this afternoon. Tracy has the most perfectly shaped eyebrows anywhere! Marcus Comes To Do Physical Therapy With Tracy This Afternoon ~ Marcus came to do Physical Therapy with Tracy this afternoon. He stretched and ranged Tracy and then applied dry heat to her left shoulder. He then ranged and massaged Tracy's left shoulder after the heat warmed up her muscles. Her left shoulder has been aggrivating her for months, and it may be time for another evaluation with Dr. Tidwell. Cousin Michelle & Her Friend Bill Come To Visit Us This Afternoon ~ Cousin Michelle and her friend Bill came over this afternoon to visit us. They brought some delicious paninis and some Italian pastries! It was great to catch up with Michelle and finally meet her friend. We tried to go out on the little boat, but the weather did not cooperate. It thundered, poured and there was a lot of lightning too. She sat up strong and tall and held her head up for about twenty minutes, and then wilted. This was by far her best session yet. Even Luna was watching this pet advocating movie. Mom Rides Her Spin Bike This Evening ~ Mom finally dusted off her Spin bike and rode for one solid hour this evening. She really misses her Spin sessions. Christine worked our group out pretty hard on the Tower. It really strengthens the core! Mom Goes To Yogalates With Janet At Awaken Hot Yoga In Lighthouse Point ~ Mom had a great Yogalates practice this morning with Janet at Awaken Hot Yoga in Lighthouse Point. She really works your core until you are going to throw up. LOL! Tania Puts Tracy's Resting Hand Splints On For 35 Minutes This Afternoon ~ Tania put Tracy's Resting Hand Splints on her wrists this after prior to Marcus coming to do therapy with Tracy so he can see how she tolerates them. Marcus Comes To Do Physical Therapy This Evening ~ Marcus came to do Physical Therapy with Tracy this evening. He stretched and ranged Tracy's major muscle groups and then he and Tania at Tracy straddled on her new therapy bench. While seated, Marcus worked on Tracy's head and trunk strengthening exercises, using ice to stimulate her neck muscles. Tracy did a good job working on her head and trunk control in front of her mirror.
