Liz and her daughter Mary hosted the shower, with the theme: 27 Dresses! Some of the guests wore their old bridesmaid's dresses from various weddings. Liz and Mary had beautifully framed photos from friends' and family weddings displayed around the living and dining rooms. It was so cute. There were even pictures of Liz and Stephen's wedding, Mary and Mark's, Rachelle and Jim's, and Emery and Mike's (all of Liz's children who have been married over the past two years)! Liz made a delicious curried chicken dish with all the toppings, a yummy Hawaiian salad with raspberry dressing, and a hot crab dip. Mary baked chocolate X and Os (hugs and kisses), a delicious Bailey's cheese cake, and Italian wedding cookies. They had adorable chocolate hearts from Tiffany and Benny's favorite chocolate store in Alexandria (Kingsbury Chocolates). Mary surprised Tiffany with questions about Benny's favorite things written on paper hearts. Everyone had a turn asking Tiffany a question about Benny! It was so much fun! She got most of them right! Also on the heart, Mary wrote an Hawaiian word with the translation, so that Tiffany can get a jump on her Hawaiian vocabulary words. All the words were about love, of course! It was so much fun visiting with old friends, and meeting some of Tiffany and Benny's new friends. Everyone laughed a lot and are really looking forward to the wedding.
